Warhammer 40K

Warhammer 40,000 (informally known as Warhammer 40K or just 40K) is a tabletop  strategy game played with a complex set of rules and strategies.  The game depicts combat between the armies of the fictional universe of the 41st millennium using 28 mm scale (approximately 1:65 scale) miniature figurines that represent futuristic soldiers, creatures and vehicles of war and are produced by Games Workshop and Forge World.

The models are sold un painted and unassembled, which is the part that appeals to me, as I love to build things. There are many opportunities to convert (customize) the models making something unique and interesting that can then be used within the game. Incidentally, I am a much better painter/modeler than a player. - Rob

Rice Village Veterans Gaming Group

I play at the Games Workshop store in Rice Village located at 2537 Times Blvd on most Wednesday nights. Wednesday nights is Veterans Night which really means "old guys" like me. They often run multi-week campaigns which really add to the depth of the game.

The group forum is here: http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/Houston_40K_Fiends

Rob's Army Lists

I am often asked how many points I have of my various armies, and I never really knew until one day I sat down and plugged it all into Army Builder just to see.

Blood Angels Full List - 4300 points fully painted, 4300 total

Tyranids Full List - 1750 points fully painted, 2299 total

Necrons Full List - 988 points fully painted, 2756 total

Army Builder

I use Army Builder to create my lists, and its really the only way to go. The Games Workshop software is rarely updated making it useless for many armies.
You can download a demo of Army Builder here.

If you buy it, I would appreciate a referral, which will extend my license 3 months which is only worth a whopping 3$, but it beats a poke in the eye with a sharp Nemesis Force Weapon.
